a wealth of words i have to say
but nay what use for words
for so long i’ve proved my love true
what is there left which u haven’t heard?

“i love u” u’ve said before
words far too easily spoken
like dust & chaff in the wind
words believed by a heart broken

but “i love u” is all i have left to say
repeated cliche bouncing against the wall
these 3 words to me so precious
to u i know meant nothing at all
