smell just right

taste like heaven

fevered delusions

deep throated sucks

I don’t’ have

verve & vigour

charms of youth

cute banal laughter

 

but

 

I can paint u rainbows

in open skies of love

hold out a candle

in depths of the dark

no ambitions to own

just walking beside

no false pretensions

nothing to hide

 

perhaps

if you would let me

you might just find

a friend’s tender gentleness

transcends space & time

 

perhaps

despite our limitations

together we can start

healing the broken pieces

of hearts that fell apart
