you, with your silken voice
molten golden honey
melting… shimmering…
liquid in my ear…
dissolving the hard cold crust
of my heart…

you, with your lithe body
slender cogent force
compelling inexorably awakening
from deep slumber…
fatigued from pain…
stirrings of long forgotten yearnings…

go away…
leave me be,
alone
in the dark
engulfing blue silence…

you, with your music…
echoing haunting
drawing sliding gliding
relentless across
trembling strings
of a broken heart…

you, with your tenderness…
whispers from a distant memory…
arousing
from secret depths
shuddering shivering
forgotten dreams…

go away…
leave me be,
incongruous instrument
a broken bow
with no strings…

you, how could it be?
how could you know?
the desires of my soul
now laid bare
stark exposed undressed
before your piercing gaze…

you, exquisite creature
wild tempestuous untamed
enticing tugging inhaling
luring me from my slumber
trembling timorous defenseless
in your arms…

go away…
leave me be,
bird in a gilded cage
misshapened misplaced wings
dreaming of flight…
